PHASE II
MIDDLE SCHOOL PRACTICUM
Overview:
I took EDUC350 the Spring semester of 2023, and was placed to do my practicum at Webber Middle School, located in Fort Collins, CO. Dr. Daniel Birmingham, a faculty member of CSU's School of Education, facilitated the course and our placements within the school.

My practicum involved observing and collaborating with Chelsea Ruiz, Webber's Art Teacher. The classes I was able to attend were 8th Grade 2D Art and 8th Grade 3D Art. I was able to tach a small unit on printmaking, in which I had students design, create, print, and edition linocuts with a theme of landscapes.

In the recitation portion of EDUC350, the course delved into ideas of how to develop student relationships in the classroom, how to work with 504s, IEPs, and other modifications for students; how to plan lessons and units, and ideas around how to make learning accessible and engaging for all of our students and their many backgrounds.
